i BIKE STATION

In my course of Environmental design one of the projects was to design a bike station somewhere in Vancouver, When I got this project I asked my teacher if the size of the station matter, to what she asked that it was up to me, so as someone who likes to bike around Vancouver I asked myself, what is missing in in this field?, The answer to this obviously is not paths as we have not only the seawall to bike but also there are lanes destined for bikes in the street allowing to get from your house to this area, but what I observed was that we definitely  missed were stations to rest or just hang out as a community, so from this answer I decided to make an actual bike station, somewhere where people could mark as a rest place or even just go and hang out. The i Bike station is a place that provides the community a safe space to park their bikes and hang out for a bit, rest and take another look to the beautiful  views that Vancouver has to offer. The proposed location is an empty part of the parking spot right beside "Rupert park" that After analyzing the area it would be a great place for people to hang out enjoy a good ride from anywhere to there and park their bikes so they can go and enjoy the second floor park with a water mirror that works as an impluvium collecting water from rain and reutilizing it as grey water for watering the garden as well as for the washrooms. The top part of the station is surrounded by solar panels that follow the sun path maximizing the use of this ones allowing the station to be a self sufficient building where most of the materials are thought to be recycled from other projects or brought from providers that follow green practices from the making to the delivery as this is another great factor to consider.
